Delaney Gustafson is a singer-songwriter from Portland, OR and Raleigh, NC. Her releases include a demo album entitled “Just Say” (2013) and “Finding Again” (2016).
Delaney graduated from Southern Virginia University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Music Composition and a minor in creative writing.
She began writing songs after a challenge from her piano teacher’s husband in 8th grade and has performed her original works since 2009, spurred by her late father’s diagnosis with pancreatic cancer.
She has opened for a handful of bands, including The Hunts, the Milberger Section, and The Loons, and performed at a number of venues including universities, community centers, cafes, churches, and restaurants and at events such as the Young Artists Against Hunger Benefit Concert for Feeding America at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke, VA.
Delaney’s music and performances are known for her powerful lyrics and vocals and a mix of bombastic and flowing piano. Her music’s raw and joyful acoustic sound taps into influences from pop, rock, jazz, country, and contemporary R&B.
She loves travel, gardens, cupcakes, and photography and lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband Stephen and their two year old daughter.
